The All-on-4 technique is a revolutionary solution for patients who have lost all or most teeth in an arch. It involves placing 4 titanium implants strategically positioned in the jawbone, onto which a complete fixed prosthesis is attached.
The name "All-on-4" literally means "everything on 4": an entire arch of fixed teeth supported by just 4 implants. The technique was developed by Dr. Paulo Malò in Portugal and is now the gold standard for full-arch rehabilitation.
Unlike traditional implants that require months of waiting, with All-on-4 you can have fixed temporary teeth the same day as surgery. This means you walk into the clinic without teeth and leave with a complete smile.
The two posterior implants are placed at a 30-45 degree angle, which maximizes available bone, often avoiding the need for costly and painful bone grafts.
In Italy, an All-on-4 treatment for a single arch typically costs between €12,000 and €20,000. In Albania, the same treatment with identical materials costs between €4,000 and €6,000 — a 60-70% saving.
At Navident, we use premium-brand implants (Nobel Biocare, Straumann) and our in-house laboratory creates prostheses with CAD/CAM technology for millimetric precision.
The first trip includes the initial consultation with 3D scanner, the surgical procedure, and the application of the temporary prosthesis. Most patients can fly back after 3-5 days.
During the osseointegration period, the implants fuse with the bone. The temporary prosthesis is fully functional — you can eat, smile, and speak normally.
The second trip is for replacing the temporary prosthesis with the definitive zirconia one, which will last 15-20 years. This is also the time for any final adjustments.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or conscious sedation. You won't feel pain during the procedure. Mild swelling and discomfort in the following days is normal and manageable with common painkillers.
Titanium implants can potentially last a lifetime with proper oral hygiene. The definitive zirconia prosthesis lasts an average of 15-20 years before needing replacement.
